When I look back on all of the shots from 2007, hands down the photos that stand out are from my summer visit with my grandparents in Sweet Home, Oregon. They walk a well-worn path after every meal and, as this photo illustrates, my grandfather rarely waits for my grandma anymore. I love my grandparents.

Look Up.

Anyone who spends a good deal of time in San Francisco, invariably wonders about all those lines that cut across the sky. Our city is blanketed with telephone lines and Muni cables. On any given day, we can waver between seeing these lines as trespassers, to accepting them as apart of the city’s aesthetic. On days such as the latter, I took these photos. Enjoy…or not, whatever.

That blue sky will be back soon.
